Dear Parents and Guardians,

Research says that children with food in their stomachs have better focus which leads to learning. We are happy to announce that Riverside Academy, in conjunction with the Freestore Foodbank, is opening a food pantry! We are working on the details now and hope to have everything set up for distribution by the end of September.

We are proud to say that every student attending school traditionally receives free breakfast and free lunch. Grab N’ Go Meals were sent home with hybrid students on Wednesday. Food was given to each hybrid student in attendance. Unfortunately, it was a lot for some of our little ones to carry. If you would rather pick up the food, please call the office and let us know. If you would like to opt out of the food distribution completely, please let us know that also. Otherwise your hybrid student will bring food home every Wednesday. Parents of students who are completely online may pick up five days of frozen meals. Meals may be picked up in drive through fashion at the kitchen door on the east side of the building. Pick up is available this week from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M.

Our mission at Riverside Academy is to serve the whole child and to support families any way we can. Providing food is one more way we show that we are a small school with a big heart!

Sincerely, Ms. Lucas

Student/Parent Handbook

Please read through the Student/Parent Handbook and discuss the expectations and procedures outlined with your student. Next week you will be asked to verify that you have familiarized yourself with its contents. Thank you for your help with this!
