Positive School Culture Program
Riverside celebrates positive behavior through a robust incentive system grounded in being respectful, responsible, safe, and scholarly. Students earn coins to use in the book vending machine and ClassDojo points to redeem for privileges like extra gym or recess, lunch with a staff member, giving announcements, movie and popcorn days, cookie decorating, and more. Teachers submit weekly referrals for outstanding students, who are celebrated in the Riverside Roar newsletter and on the school bulletin board.
Dress Code
Clear expectations help students focus and feel prepared for the day:
- Tops: Any solid color polo
- Bottoms: Black, khaki, or navy
- Shoes/Accessories: Athletic shoes, or closed toe/heel dress shoes or boots (no Crocs)
Parent Involvement Opportunities
While there is no structured PTO, parents are welcome to volunteer in classrooms and at events. A background check is required for participation.
